Professionalism has seeped into our system,
It is common knowledge that the emotionally viable human being, does all he can to beat the vulnerability the winds of reliability and dependence brings upon him.
The more things change, the more they remain the same!
Ancient man needed a companion and blamed it on the bent spine. Recent man needs the same support and blames it on competition and responsibility.
Attaching a value, soothes the ego; works like an assuage for the needy soul!
When all we needed was hope which wasn’t terminal….
A settlement which wasn’t worded and yet conspicuous!
There is a weird difference between making a settlement with; and to settle for!
What if the one we settle for is also making a settlement with us?
Emotional frenzy!
We agree on terms and conditions.. before we tie the knot,
Are they enough to hold the bond, which is more like a thread;
Or are we contracting our marriage just to have that consolation and that comfort that we are not obligated to anything forever.
Is forever overrated….?
Do we want to believe in an end, or we implicitly hide in the enigmatic shadows of eternity!!
